I'm an amateur photographer with a backlog of photos I like. This blog is for me to post a picture a day (more or less) along with selected stories of when/why I took them.
Interesting observation, Neo...the Japanese seem to use objects (prayer papers, cranes, these medallions, etc.) as physical, tangible symbols of prayers to the gods. I've seen these and wondered what the story is behind each of them--that'd take a whole blog in itself!
I really like this. Photographers need good knees to get the great shots sometimes. My nine-year old likes to lie flat on the ground and shoot straight up with my camera. It's very fun to watch him discover his own creativities.
Footsteps, I've started learning that I can't do all my shots from a standing position. I feel weird sometimes crawling around on the ground, but if it gets me a good shot... (C;

I have seen an image of a thousand paper cranes. It is very comparable to this one.
