A sure sign of spring

Since it's so stinkin' cold here in the Chicago area, I thought a sign of spring might warm things up. This is opening day at U.S. Cellular Field (a.k.a. Comiskey Park for us old-timers), home of my beloved Chicago White Sox.

This was a slightly cool, but very sunny, early April opening day from 2004. Little did we know that a World Series ring was only one year away for Da Boys! Ah, memories...

Another photo tomorrow...

Oh, Jim. I suddenly have a lot less respect for you. Well, at least you're not a Yankees fan. Remember, pitchers and catcher report in only two weeks.

Any picture of baseball beats looking at the blowing snow down here on the southern plains. Stay warm.

Let's Go Rockies!

Eric do you respect me any more if I tell you that the Rockies are my National League team of choice! And I'm glad pitchers and catchers report soon...we need some signs of spring here! It's snowing to beat the devil, and the temp is in the low single degrees...sigh...
